Hot air balloon makes hard landing southwest of Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A hot air balloon has reportedly made a hard landing Thursday morning in a remote area southwest of Las Vegas.

The Clark County Fire Department was responding to a remote area north of Goodsprings and south of Mountain Springs.

There wasn't immediate confirmation on the number of people riding in the balloon, but Buchanan said one person had to be taken to a hospital via helicopter while seven others were taken to UMC via ambulance.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say they are assisting in the response.
