LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A Nevada Highway Patrol cruiser ended up on its roof after a collision Tuesday morning in downtown Las Vegas.
The crash was reported at Charleston Boulevard and Grand Central Parkway, with some lanes closed for the response. A silver sedan was also at the scene with front-end damage.
An NHP spokesman said the crash was reported just before 3:40 a.m. A silver Ford Taurus was heading west on Charleston, while the NHP cruiser was heading north on Grand Central. Investigators believe the Ford hit the trooper's car, causing it to roll over.
The trooper and the driver of the Ford suffered minor injuries, according to NHP, and they were both taken to a hospital for evaluation.
Authorities are investigating if impairment was a factor on the part of the driver of the Ford.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
