LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a fatal crash involving a motorcyclist in the east valley Wednesday night.
Officers responded to the intersection of Nellis Boulevard and Washington Avenue just after 8:30 p.m., Lt. Young said.
According to police, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
In a statement released Thursday morning, LVMPD's fatal detail said a 2020 Kawasaki ZX6 motorcycle was heading south on Nellis approaching a green light at Washington.
A 2020 Nissan Rogue was heading north on Nellis and turned left to Washington, into the path of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle hit the Nissan, and the rider, identified as a 35-year-old Las Vegas man, was thrown from the bike in the crash, according to police.
A 2004 Chevrolet Silverado also struck the Nissan, whose driver was taken to a hospital with reportedly minor injuries, LVMPD says.
Neither of the two drivers showed any signs of impairment, per authorities.
