LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A bicyclist is dead after a hit-and-run crash Wednesday morning in the southwest valley, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
Officers got the report of a crash on Warm Springs Road just west of Tenaya Way around 3 a.m., said Lt. David Gordon with LVMPD.
Police do not know the exact time of the collision but believe it was sometime between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m., Gordon said.
The cyclist, identified as an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Gordon.
Officers found a possible suspect vehicle abandoned in the desert near Fort Apache and Warm Springs roads, he said in an update around 9 a.m.
The car has damage consistent with being involved in a collision, and detectives are still working to identify the driver.
