Police officer involved in crash at Lamb, Charleston in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A Las Vegas police officer was involved in a crash Monday morning while responding to an emergency call, according to authorities.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police reported the crash at Charleston and Lamb boulevards just after 4:35 a.m. Monday, said Lt. David Gordon.

A marked patrol cruiser was heading south on Lamb with emergency equipment activated, and it entered the intersection to turn onto eastbound Charleston, Gordon said.

A black Nissan Sentra heading east hit the cruiser, and the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with complaints of pain, according to Gordon.

Eastbound Charleston is closed as police investigate the scene.
