LVMPD: Driver arrested for DUI after 4-car crash near Decatur, Cactus

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — UPDATE | One driver has been arrested on suspicion of DUI after a four-car crash Thursday night in the south valley, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.

The initial investigation indicates a Chevrolet Camaro was heading east on Cactus when it crashed into a taxi, leading to a collision with two other cars, said Lt. Adrian Beas.

All drivers involved were taken to a local hospital, and their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, Beas said.

The driver of the Chevrolet was arrested for suspected DUI.

ORIGINAL | The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is reporting it is investigating a four-vehicle accident.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. just outside the intersection at Decatur Boulevard and Cactus Avenue.

All drivers have been taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries. 

Police say impairment and speed are factors in the crash.

The area will be blocked off while traffic officers investigate.
