LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a crash at Christy Lane and Lake Mead Boulevard that occurred Sunday night just before 6:00 p.m.
Lt. Larsen says that officers responded to the crash and found that a Silverado traveling westbound on Lake Mead Boulevard ran through a red light and hit a horse trailer being hauled by a Suburban traveling south on Christy Lane.
The horse in the trailer was ejected from the vehicle.
A veterinarian who responded based on life-threatening injuries put down the horse to prevent further suffering.
Impairment is not suspected to be a factor.
Detectives are investigating the crash.
