LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Two suspects fled from a traffic stop Wednesday evening and caused a fiery three-vehicle crash in the east valley.
Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department tried to conduct a vehicle stop near Harmon Avenue and Boulder Highway around 7:00 p.m.
The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed on Boulder Highway and struck two trucks. As it struck the second truck, both vehicles caught fire, according to Lt. Hernandez.

Two suspects were taken into custody and transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. Jail records identified one of the suspects as 27-year-old Alberto Velasquez III, with charges including possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and reckless driving.
They later discovered that the suspect vehicle was reported stolen.
No other injuries were reported.
