Two pedestrians hit by bus near Harrah's on Las Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A crash involving a bus and two pedestrians near the Mirage and Harrah's casino-resorts has closed a portion of southbound Las Vegas Boulevard Tuesday morning.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported the crash just before 6:35 a.m. at 3475 S. Las Vegas Blvd.

Initial reports indicate two people stepped in front of a bus that was heading south on the Strip, said Lt. Allen Larsen with LVMPD.

Both were struck by the bus and taken to a local hospital. One person's condition is described as critical, while the other's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives with LVMPD's fatal detail are responding as a precaution to investigate the circumstances of the crash, according to Larsen.

The southbound side of the Strip is closed from Mirage to Harrah's for the investigation. Police do not suspect impairment was a factor as of Tuesday morning.
