The northbound lanes of the I-11 freeway have reopened between Nevada and Arizona following a fatal head-on crash involving two trucks Tuesday morning.
The southbound lanes could remain closed for several more hours.
According to Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 3 a.m. and involved a woman who was driving a U-Haul truck. She was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes for several miles before she slammed into a UPS truck, NHP said. The woman died at the scene.
The crash has left a large mess, including a fuel spill.
